What the app stores locally
Terminal Drill stores your practice progress, preferences, selected track, session history, lab checkpoints, notes and collections on your device. This includes XP, achievements, weekly goals, Classic or Adventure preference and cosmetic choices. The developer has no hosted learning database and cannot read this local data.
Content and network access
Learning content is bundled for offline use. The app does not use a hosted learning backend, advertising network or analytics SDK. Apple’s StoreKit services handle product information, purchases and restoration and may make network requests. Links you choose to open use your browser.
Backups, sharing and support
You may export learning data, share a challenge or accomplishment, or prepare a content-issue report. Those actions are user initiated. Your chosen storage or sharing service handles the exported material under its own policies. Purchase entitlements and device permissions are not imported from a learning backup.
If you email support, the email provider processes your message and any attachments you choose to send. Include only the information needed to explain the issue. Do not send passwords or payment details.
Apple services and device backups
Apple processes App Store transactions and may provide sales reports or diagnostics under its services and your device settings. Operating-system backups may include app data according to your settings. These are distinct from developer-operated app analytics; no such analytics SDK is included.
Notifications
Optional practice reminders are scheduled locally. You control them in the app and in system notification settings.
Deleting or moving learning data
Settings provides a reset option. Export a backup before deleting data you want to keep. Removing the app, system backups and manual exports can have different effects across platforms; exported copies remain wherever you saved them until you delete them there. The developer cannot recover a lost local history.
This website
The website does not include advertising pixels or third-party analytics scripts. The free course can store its completion state in your browser. The mini-challenge on the homepage keeps state in memory and does not execute a shell. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes requests to deliver and protect the site; that can include ordinary technical connection information such as an IP address. Followed links and email are handled by their respective services.
Children and changes
The app does not request an age, account or personal profile from children or adults. If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new date.
