Privacy Policy
Terminal Drill is built around a simple promise: your practice is yours. This policy explains what that means in plain terms.
What we collect
Nothing.
Terminal Drill does not collect, transmit, store, sell, or share any personal information. There are no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no third-party trackers, and no advertising networks in the app.
What stays on your device
Everything you do in the app is saved locally on your iPhone using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults for preferences, an Application Support file for progress). This includes:
- Your chosen username (only used to personalize the simulated terminal prompts and the greeting)
- Your XP, level, streaks, badges, and per-drill mastery
- Your difficulty preference and notification reminder time
- Your history of drill attempts (used for review-queue tracking and accuracy stats)
This data never leaves your device. We have no servers and we cannot see it.
If you uninstall Terminal Drill, all this data is removed by iOS along with the app.
Notifications
If you opt in to daily reminder notifications in Settings, Terminal Drill schedules a local notification to fire at your chosen time. These notifications are delivered entirely on your device by iOS — nothing is sent over the network and we never see when or whether you receive them.
You can disable reminders in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Terminal Drill at any time.
Network access
Terminal Drill does not make any network requests. The app ships with all 17 modules, ~800 drills, and 170 commands bundled inside it. There is no online sync, no leaderboard, no account.
Children
Terminal Drill is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no information at all, we do not collect information from children either.
Changes
If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version adds optional iCloud sync), you'll see an updated version in the app's About section and the date at the top of this page will change.
